Tuban is the only area of Indonesia that weaves the cloth for their batik, called gedog. It is a distinctive village style cotton weave and makes a wonderful base for the mutlti-colored, and patterned batik. This piece would make a wonderful scarf, or table runner, or wall hanging. The motif is called Lok cai, a traditional bird and vine motif.
