My garden in the rainy season.
This plant I have not yet identified but it grows profusely in my garden in Central Java and produces a lovely blue-grey color w Silk scarves colored in natural dyes obtained garden plants, then designs applied with wax by brush These colors were all produced from plants found in my garden.
Scarves colored again in a cold natural dye bath, the wax removed in boiling water. Bamboo motif applied with melted wax and a brush. Multiple dips into an indigo dye bath produce very rich deep colors.
The cloth is immersewd into the indigo vat, then removed to oxidize. My garden in the rainy season. The indigo seedlings from Mr. Morimoto from Wisdom from the Forest Project in Cambodia.
Indigo close-up Finished two-color natural dye scarves with brushed batik floral motifs. The silk does not lose its natural luster in the processing.
